About Us

Welcome to Bangla Converter Tool — a free, browser-based platform built to solve one of the most common technical headaches faced by Bangla-speaking internet users: the gap between Unicode and legacy Bijoy font encoding.

Who We Are

Bangla Converter Tool is developed and maintained by the BanglaConverterTool Team, a small group of web developers and programmers with hands-on experience building practical, everyday tools for the web. Our background is in software development rather than linguistics — but that focus is exactly what shapes this project: we care about writing clean, reliable code that solves a real, recurring problem without unnecessary complexity.

Why We Built This Tool

Bangladesh’s digital ecosystem runs on two different encoding systems at once. Government offices, older publishing workflows, and many print systems still rely on Bijoy, while modern websites, social media, and mobile devices are built around Unicode. This mismatch causes broken text, garbled characters, and hours of manual reformatting for students, journalists, bloggers, and office staff every day.

As developers, we saw this as a solvable engineering problem. So we built a lightweight, accurate, bidirectional converter that handles Bangla’s complex ligatures and conjunct characters correctly — something many generic conversion tools get wrong — and made it available for free, with no installation, registration, or software downloads required.

What We Offer

Our tool supports fast Unicode-to-Bijoy and Bijoy-to-Unicode conversion, along with integrated voice typing for hands-free input. It works directly in the browser on any device, and voice data is processed locally to keep the experience private and secure.

Our Approach

We treat this as an ongoing engineering project, not a one-time build. We regularly test and refine the conversion logic to keep accuracy high as we get feedback from real users — including journalists, students, bloggers, and office workers across Bangladesh who use the tool as part of their daily work.
